I would like a siamese fighting fish, but worry that its cruel to keep them in a little bowl by them2007-11-24 23:36:57

What do you think, are there any other fish that they won't kill if they're in the same tank?

Actually, these fish like to live by themselves. They're very solitaire fish and very territorial. Yes you can put them in a tank with other fish but you have to watch out for those little fin nippers! But back to the main subject, no they don't need don't need an air filter. Just make sure your tank has a cover on it because they will jump out!

Oh ya you can keep them in tanks with other fish as long as there isn't one like it in there - believe me my brother has a tank with one in there and a bunch of other fish and he is just fine :)

One will do just fine under any conditions, bowl, aquarium or decorative glass, etc., but you can only have 1 per container. They will fight until the finish if they are paired. They can survive with other small fish, but an Oscar will make it a tasty snack! Also, some bigger goldfish will snip at their tail.

They can't be in the same tank. They have to be seperated or one will kill the other.

First answer.When you buy them, don't you see them in tiny containers?? They like small places, with a plant or something, you see them ALOT fixed up in a vase of water., rocks, and some kind of a plant, we had 2 for 4 yrs, and they lived well! Ours liked to get inbetween the
