my bf and i have been fishing the last couple of days, and some old timer told us that when the moom is full before and after they really won't bite. is this true?
Answers:I always thought it was an old wives tale but because the moon has an effect on the waters of the earth it could be true.
Only if It is REALLY bright. It scares the fish. They go way below the water! Sometimes you catch one or two but I doubt It!
alot of people say that the best time to fish is on a full moon. I fish alot and I have found that on full moon nights you may catch a ton or wont get a bite. It has to do with barometric pressure the water temperature it all comes into play. if it is really hot the fish will go deep. It also depends on whether they are spawning or not. Fish bite more during spawning season. Fishing is a guessing game its never the same from day to day.
I used to fish with an old guy named "Snowball" who used to spit on his worm (bait). He would catch fish at any time of the day or night or month. I never knew if he just knew the right spots or if the spit worked.
