Shebunkins are lovely fancy fish and they can be put in coldwater tanks.

Guppies. They are diverse, colorful, communal and pretty hearty. A small frog in the bottom with some albino cave cats might liven things up abit without creating any thing too "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" on the shelf. In my experience, the crabs and shrimp are pretty short lived. May have been my fault.

I kept aquatic frogs in a coldwater tank, they lived for ages. The room they were in was quite warm which is why i think i got away with it. They are very sweet and easy to look after.

I used to own a freshwater lobster (I think they are classed as crayfish).

They are quite interesting to own and mine lived fine in a 1foot coldwater tank for about a year on its own then I moved it into my 4ft tropical to live among my other fish.

They will not eat your fish they are too slow to catch them.

You need to have good water quality though you need proper filtration and regular water tests, plus keep the tank covered or they crawl out!

They can also grow quite large.

Guppies are tropical but can adapt to a coldwater tank also a newt (spannish ribbed newt) can be kept with them as they can adapt easily only thing is they UGLY hehe

a good fish to add would be white cloud minnows, which don't need a heater as long as the water isn't too cold. As for creatures, a crayfish is good for coldwater, but they are extremely aggressive towards fish and other crayfish
