If i was to Freeze My fish would it Kill Him2007-11-24 23:36:04

I want to Kill Him i herd Freezeing Him works Good but will he wake Up after it melts?

he has some kind of stroke or somthing where he cant swim he just lays at the bottom of the tank its been like this since June

I hate to do this but i was thinking about killing him to stop the pain and suffering what would be the fastest way of killing him i dont want him to fill any pain AND NO IM NOT USEING A GUN

Some fish don't actually freeze but they go into a state of suspended animation. Our pond fish just stop eating and swimming when the temperature goes below 50 degrees. They come back around to swimming and eating in the spring. Your fish, however, is already sick, so it's most likely he would die. I am going to recommend a scenic river cruise with launching through the local septic system.

Take your fish out of the water and either crush it or just leave it there, and it will die soon.

i'm for animal rights, so i am only saying this to end the fish's suffering

if he is sick and u want to kill him quick, add salt to the water if he is a fresh water fish. most goldfish have the same chemicals as anti-freeze in their blood and would just come back after being frozen
