Answers:

The rest were male, and the one he likes is a female. Maybe the tank isn't big enough, or he's just anitsocial. Try getting him a couple of girls before you get more guys. Females have rounder anal fins, and male pointed anal fins. In molly the male generally have big showy sails, and brighter colors.

Are you sure it is a molly? I have mollies, and a great breeder amongst them, they never bother the new babies or anything. ??

Okay, are all the mollies male? Or are there two or three males? 'Cause fish I've had have been known to fight it to the death to get to the chick fishes.

There are always exceptions in every fish breed. Mollies being good community fish is a generalization, there is the occasional aggressive one. That being said, it could be because he and the other fish have established territories in the aquarium, and so they accept each other but they aren't willing to put up with new fish invading their territory. Or he could be picking on the new fish because they are sick, or because they are female and really all he's trying to do is mate.

it it male? if it is he is probably chasing away the other males. you need to have at least 3 females per male with livebearers.

I've had similar things happen with community fish.platy's no less..try putting a bigger fish in the tank and rearrange the pecking order.sometimes that's all it takes.
