If my goldfish tilts 2 the side at around 45 degrees does that mean it has air bladder disease2007-11-24 23:36:06

I have an Oranda and a Black Moore.I heard Oranda are prone to air bladder disease.All yeah I keep accidentally overfeeding them, How do I get the food out.All yeah If it is air bladder or swim bladder I already know how to treat it, but feel free to still put up segetions.

It sounds like it could be air bladder disease.

Use a siphon to remove the extra food. If you know you are overfeeding them, you should be able to stop! Use a measuting spoon to get the right amount of food instead of just pouring it, sprinkling it or getting a pinch of it with your fingers.

What can I do to prevent swim bladder disease?

As always, the golden rule of fish disease is WATER QUALITY. If swim bladder disease does have an infectious cause, your fish will be better able to resist this infection (and others) if your water quality is good. Regular water changes and water testing are a must.

Pre-soak your flake or pelleted food. This will allow expansion to occur prior to the fish eating it, and will lessen the chance of impaction.

i think it is swim bladder diasese(there is no such thing as air bladder diasese) diagnos your fish symtoms with this site if it is though stop feeding for 4-5 days
