FEed them betta pellets rather than normal fish food, and use betta conditioner rather than normal fish conditioner, because they prefer different pH and junk.

Don't shake their tanks or put mirrors up against them, or play loud music and cause vibration, because they will get stressed.

But they are very easy, beautiful and colorful pets :D

female bettas are just as much fun as male bettas. the difference is they have shorter fines. all you need to know is that you should feed your fish a few pellets or dried bloodworms once a day, and clean his tank out once a week. when you clean out her bowl, take you fish out with some water into a different bowl or dish, then rinse off any plants or statues with warm water. this will get of any algae living on them. Then clean the bowl out with warm water. this will get out any poop in the gravel and any algae. you can rinse it three time to be sure everything is clean. them put it all back in. when you put water back in the bowl, let it sit for a little while to get back to room temperature, be sure you leave some room at the top because you will be pouring you Betta back into the bowl, water and all. but while you new water is sitting to warm up, pour in some aqua safe solution. this will get out stuff like chlorine, that hurts your fish. once it's back to room temp, pour her back in! Have fun!
