Get a Beta fish. It would do well in that environment.

a 1 gallon is too small for livebearers, in fact, its too small for any fish, imo. Guppies will do best in 20+ gallons.

I accidently got started in guppies with a 2 gallon tank but it had a filteration system in it. In 2 weeks I had 35 fish when I started out with 3 guppies 1 male 2 females. Now I have a 50 gallon fish tank with over 100 guppies. I sell them or give them away. so I would not even try to put any in a 1 gallon tank. My best problem soultion is buy a 10 gallon or bigger and prepare for more and more baby guppies in the near future. Also remember to get a tank cleaner it helps out alot I have 2 right now and they got big quick. good luck in the near future.

None. Guppies need adequate filtration and aeration; they also require a heater, space to move around, and some plants, be them real or fake.

Do not put any fish in that bowl, period. That is simply too small even for a betta (which, ideally, should also have a filter and heater).

Don't waste your time and money. In the first place, even with best of care and with optimum water conditions, guppies die off like nobody's business. This is because of too much in-breeding which resulted in this species being particularly "weak". With no filter, it doesn't matter how many guppies u keep. It's only how many days u can keep them alive. =))

NONE guppies need filtration and with out that they will die. Bye a betta fish they are just as pretty as guppies. But be careful they might jump out. ( mine did)
