Is it a good idea to put goldfish in a stainless steel bowl2007-11-24 23:37:14
I discovered a small crack at the base of my aquarium yesterday, so I put my goldfish in a large stainless steel bowl (cause the aquarium would leak). They should be there for 2 days for the most while I get the aquarium fixed. They'll be fine right?
Answers:Goldfish cannot live in bowls. Just go to a department store and buy a 40 gallon rubbermaid storage tub (5-10 bucks) and fill it up with dechlorinated water that is the same temperature as the water in their tank and hook your filter onto the tub and keep them in that until you get a new tank. They will suffocate and die in that bowl, not to mention im sure the metal is messing with the water
yes if u can see throuth the bowl if not dont just put it in a glass bowl
I would say no because the metal will taint the water.
I think that they will be alright.I personally would use a plastic bowl.
