Is it good to feed your fish different fish foods or just the flakes
For example, if you have live bearers like Mollies or Platies, using a color enhancer as their daily diet and supplementing a snack such as Emerald Entree by San Francisco Bay could reap you rewards of beautiful colors as your fishies frolick in their tank.
Consider also that every food, while they use a similar "base" to begin the diet, uses many different types of ingredients (Like, Spirulina, shrimp, wheat germ and so on.).Some products just may not agree as well as others with your fish's digestive system.
Anywhos.
My fish use a regular diet of Tropi-Crisps by Tetra (Chosen because it stays afloat longer then other foods and doesn't cause cloudiness) and gets a treat of live brine at least 4-5 times a week. My Kissing Gourami's are now 5" and just the most active lil buggers. Lol.
Happy feeding!
It's good to mix things up for your fish, it's healthy for them. Try giving them a little 1/2 inch slice of cucumber, they usually dig that.
It depends on the type of fish. Some fish need a variety and others get overwhelmed with a large variety. If they mainly eat flake food then you could mix in pellet food if you want. Best thing to do is to look for a site or group that is specific to the type of fish you have.
