i have a medium size pleco..is it normal for him to drag around 10"-12" of POOP around with him? please help! THANX
Answers:Yes.
It happens to goldfish, gouramis, all kinds of fish.
Touch the tank glass really fast to scare him, and he'll zoom away, breaking the * off.
sorry but yes
No it is not normal, your pleco is probably getting too much to
eat.
This is totally normal, it just depends on its diet. I have noticed that if I feed mine algi table it got worse.
The people that posted are correct, it all depends on it diet!
I have seen some fish that have done worse! it should come off sooner or later.. i
My pleco is the same as the other guys, he has more pooh when I feed him algae tablets rather than when he is just eating normal food scraps and crud off of the tank. Maybe processed algae gives them constipation or somthing : )
I know it looks gross, but yea, it's normal. i've got 3 different pleco's and they all do it.
you probably dont have enough plants to knock the poo off..
Yeah our big pleco swims around with one of the plants on her nose & about her body length of poop behind her. I guess they don't have a cookie cutter the way us mammals do?
yes nearly all fish do
