mutilating an animal to make it look cool is a bad idea. fish DO have nerves, and CAN feel. All living things have some form of "nerves". without them, they would be constantly loosing things like toes and limbs. having a pet just because it is vicious, and cool looking is not being responsible. Pets depend on owners to provide for all of their needs. They are not novelties, or just "neat". They require time, consideration, and ample care. Fish use their lips to aid in eatting. Cutting the lips off of the fish will make it very hard for him to eat, and will possibly lead to mal-nutrition as the fish will be expending extra energy in order to keep the food in it's mouth and swallow. Not only that, but because food chunks will constantly be escaping it's mouth, your tank will be constantly dirty and in need of cleaning. Please, reconsider getting a piranha or any pet until you can see the value of providing for another living creature other than yourself.

Ok, number one, how would you like to have your lips cut off? I don't think the fish would like that either. Number two, aren't in most places, having those type of fish illegal? Number three, if you do choose to do this, you will be leaving the fish open to infections. Remember, fish live in water, water breeds bacteria. And if it does get infected good luck trying to find someone to put their hands in there and try to treat it.
