You also should be sure that lake is not polluted and the fish toxic - that wouldn't save money.

Yea, but they really tear up your fish tank. Meaning they uproot all the plants and mess the gravel up.

yes you'll be saving but can be very dangerous if u dont know how to swim ,note also that it is not advisable to mix fishies from the lake to fishies you buy from the pet shop. cos those from the lake will endup kill those fromthe pet shop .

You can fish to eat a fish, but I wouldn't reccomend catching one for the goldfish bowl.

You will need a fishing license and a copy of the rules and regulations on protected species. The rangers frown on people netting and taking fish home to keep in aquariums without a permit. yes, you need a permit.

Native fish can be kept in aquariums. There are some that get too big or need too much cool water, but there are a lot of smaller species that will do fine. Check the link to see what you could keep in a tank.

Um, no it isn't! First of all you must have the right equipment to even try to care for these fish. Most of them will not survive in a fish tank. They also carry alot of disease, and parasites that will kill other fish. You should check with you state to see what is illegal to have as a pet. Most are outlawed. You better make sure you have a fishing license, cuz if you get caught fishing without one, your in big trouble. Plus most fish have to be a certain size before you can take them. So i think you just need to stop being cheap and go to pet-smart and buy some.
