I would take it back to where you bought it. Or to a local pet store. They might take them and care for them, resale them if you just want to give them up. Or you might be able to get store credit for something else. Don't be cruel, that will kill your fish.

Well, you technically could, but.that is so cruel, even for fish! I mean, think of where they are going alive! No way to help themselves or escape. And you did it! I had them too and didn't want them any more but found people to take them. I couldn't do the flush.

quite frnkly you could alot more then that it iis not safe for the fish and it will mostlikely die due to the toxins and stuff you should try to sell them or give them to someone or even let them go in a lake they have more chance ther then in a sewer word of advice please dont try it !!

Don't put it in the lake, goldfish are basically carp and are a horrible fish living in any good fishing or swiming lakes.
