Is it wrong to put a Fish out of its misery

I think the best way to humanely kill a fish is with a sharp knife to the spine. It's quick, if nothing else. I personally can't do that, so I end up freezing the fish in a bag with some tank water in it. I know that's not a pleasant death, either, but I can't stab a pet, nor will I flush it.
Put the fish in a plastic cup and put it in the freezer until frozen. The just "go to sleep". Flushing them is not good as they probably live a while in the sewer in unspeakable conditions.
Fish are fish. They aren't like a dog or cat that feels pain the same way we do (I think). But I still wouldn't want them to suffer needlessly.
It is considered wrong because the fish dies slowly. It will stay alive during the flush and then suffocate to death in the nasty septic tank. That is why it is considered cruel or inhumane. A much better way to put down a fish is to drop it into a bowl of ice-water. The ice sends them into shock immediately and the fish is dead in less than 30 seconds. This method is much better anyways, you can thtow it away after and not worry about sewage line problems later.
Well flushing him down the toilet didnt kill him it just sent him to teh sewer where his life wold b worse till he died. Ive heard of freezing them and it just puts them 2 sleep then they die in their sleep.
