Is there something wrong with my fish
I am worried that my fish might die because their fins are all wearing down i mean my smallest gold fish fins are barley see able they eat fine and seem like there normal selves also their fins look like they are chipped like jagged edges all around. Their water levels are all normal from what i can see and they have a new filter my oldest gold fish is going on 4 years now i really dont want to lose him im kinda attached any soultions to their problem?

The 3% saltsolution means as follows
take out a gallon from the tankwater and put 1 tspn to 1 gallon of tankwater, that means if you have a 40 gallon you need to ad 40 tablespoons of aquarium salt or non iodized salt to the 1 gallon jug and dissolve it in there
Then you pour it slowly into your tank
you need to repeat that every day including a daily partial waterchange of 50% until you see the fins of your fish healing
It's a long process, but well worth it
Hope that helps
good luck

Mayby you might want to go to the pet shop and tell them about your fish?
Hope it gets better
NOOO! I hope nothing happens to tuna face, i love our fishes...sad
maybe the food of the fish cause the wearing down and also their genes!!!!!
sounds like his tail is getting nipped at by another fish. observe how all the tankmates interact with eachother. what else do you have in the tank?
