Answers:Sorry, all aquarium pet "sharks" are usually a variety of catfish. The picture you have is of a Bala Shark. These are just a tropical fish.
The Bala shark (Balantiocheilus melanopterus), also known as the Tricolor Shark, Silver Shark, or Shark Minnow, is a schooling community fish of family Cyprinidae. This species is not a true shark, but is commonly called a "shark" because of its torpedo-shaped body and large fins.

Here's some info on them:

Comments. Bala Sharks are beautiful, graceful, energetic, and mild tempered. They are one of the very best aquarium fish and form beautiful schools. Bala Sharks are more susceptible to ich and shimmy than most other tropical fish. Click here for information about how to recognize some of the Signs of Stress and Disease in fish. This beautiful Bala Shark is about 7" long. It grew to this size in an aquarium with over 120 gallons of water.
