First, I'd lay off the cycle and waste control products. Cycle is to speed up the tank cycling. But most of the bacteria contained in cycle, and similar non refrigerated products, are dead. So they're of no use. As far as the waste control, never used it, never will. Just do your water changes, and up them to (depending on the amount of fish in tank) every 2 weeks at least. If you're tank is overstocked, do one every week. Just small amounts, about 15%. That's the best thing you can do to keep your fish healthy. And that'll save you the money from spending on those products that aren't helping. Pick up a bottle of Prime, to condition/treat the new water before adding it. It's a bit pricey, but a bottle will last a very very long time.
