I just bought a six line wrasse. It sits at the bottom and even goes under rocks that the jaw fish dug out.

It may just be getting use to the new environment. Just to be safe check your pH ammonia nitrites and nitrates. if these slowly went up your other fish will have been slowly getting use to the change in these levels where the new fish may have been a bit more shocked by them. They are normally pretty active fish, mine swims all over the place through the rock work at all levels of the tank. How long did you acclimate it for and how did you acclimate it?

sounds like you got some shy fish. im sorry dude i get fish like that 2 some times and it sucks. they could also be scared of there new place or getting sick.

If you just bought it, the fish could still be dealing with the stress involved in the move from the store, etc...I would leave the thing alone for a couple of days, just keep an eye on it for any abnormal actions, if it is shy, it will eventually warm up and get used to it's new home, like most my fish have done.
