Jack dempseys
i have three dempseys. the sizes of them are, 3" 4" and 5". they wont eat feeder fish yet so i feed them pellets. i hope when they get big enough, they will mow down feeders. anyways i have a pleco too that is 3" and i have 1 freshwater barracuda that is 6". he chows feeders like no tomorrow. anyways i call my jack dempseys - demps nasties. cause they beez nasty thugs in da hood!
Answers:When they get bigger they may eat live feeders but then they may not.Some fish like live food others don't.I have two dempsey's myself and one is about 5" the other is smaller,They don't eat live feeders even though there are feeders in the tank for my needle nose..I have a parrot fish as well and she is only 3" but she will eat feeders.It is a wait and see thing.
