Keeping ghost shrimp

Every time I buy ghost shrimp, they disappear within a couple of weeks. I've even tried putting them in the tank ALONE. Tank is covered, 28 gal, with rock, gravel, and UGF.
Why can't I KEEP them?
Answers:well even in covered tank some manage to get out. sweep the floor around your fishtank, you might find i few. i did

How do you know they`re not there.LOL No really I had some once and I didn`t know they were eaten for two weeks.
try closing it with the lid
Ghost shrimp need salt water..have you tried that?
You silly bugger.they are still there,but transparent.pour in some boiling water and you should get a good meal!
