My 2 goldfish wont eat, wat should i do2007-11-24 23:38:59

I finally got the fish food but they're stuck at the bottom and i don't know wat to do.

Your goldfish are probably suffering from stress due to 'new tank syndrome'. The water is getting heavily polluted because the tank hasn't had time to develop the beneficial bacteria necessary to convert fish waste (ammonia) into nitrites, and then into nitrates. Change half of your water now. Don't feed your fish for two days (they can go a week without food), then do another water change in three days. It may give your tank enough time to develop the necessary bacteria before the water kills them.

Two goldfish.. how big are they?

If the food all falls to the bottom because of aerators or filters, I would do this: Take a small portion of airline tubing (for aerators and stuff) and glue it together with silicone or get a feeding ring. Put a few flakes in it, and step BACK away from the tank. Sometimes fish get scared because of the presence of people, so they won't eat.

Use some Garlic extract in with their food. Trust me - they will eat!

i know this will sound crazy, but try different fish food. at first my fish wouldn't eat and i tried a different kind and he eats a TON now! you should try it
