My Fishes Eyes and skin look messed up2007-11-24 23:38:26

Ok heres the deal my two goldfish 1 of them is white entirely white and the other is gold my gold fish has 1 eye filled with a white thing it looks cloudy and his lips look scraped up of some sort and the white one is bout 2 have the same problem his eyes are gettin cloudy man and his skin is also getting like peeled away or scraped can some1 help me please ive had my fish for over a year already and i dont want 2 lose them!P.S.(i seperated 2 other little fish from being infected.)

First of all - you DO NOT have Ich/Ick and the idiots out here who have been saying you do have absolutely no clue what they are talking about.

Tikitiki is correct. It sounds more bacterial than anything, but the cloudy eye is a known disease called Cataracts (just like what humans get).

As for the scraped up skin, again, I agree with tikitiki that it sounds bacterial (or potentially fungal), but it's not Ich/Ick. Ich gives your fish the appearance of having been salted with a Salt Shaker. Not being able to see any pictures of your fish makes it tough, but save yourself a lot of time, money, and hassle, and just give this site a lookover when you have time.

Maybe you need to get water treatment for their water. Check with your local pet store to see which brand is ideal for the type of fish you have. Good luck.

Sounds like they have a disease called Ick. Go to the pet store they sell drops you can put in the water to take care of it. I suggest doing this ASAP as it can kill your fish.
