If a fish isn't beautiful it doesn't mean its a bad thing. Unless you're some sort of fish pageant queen.
If it is not as bright in color as you think it should be it may be because it is a female fish. Females usually are duller in color in any species because they need to hide while giving birth.

only the show winner bettas are perfect lol. My five bettas arent perfect but i think they're very beautiful. It's not bad at all unless you love it haha. Feed it color enhancing betta food, and it'll be okay. Unless their color isn't fading, they're not sick :D
Nope, that's not bad at all. Plus I think you said that you had a female one, they tend to be just plain looking. Their bodies are grey most times and their fins have a little color. The male ones are the most colorful. That isn't something to worry about at all.
