My beta has white stuff coming off of him
My beta has white stuff coming off of him. Its floating all over the bowl and happens everytime I change the water. He is still very active and is eating well. I don't know what this stuff is! I add the Aqua Plus for the tap water when I change the water and the Beta Fix Remedy every day. What is wrong with my fish??

Doesn't sound like ich/ick, those people are idiots and use that as a response for everything. Ich looks like the fish is sprinkled with salt, and I've never been able to see it floating around a tank. So disregard those answers.
Try posting on this forum, this guy knows a bunch about bettas. Almost sounds like a fungus, but I've never seen it floating around the water either, though I guess it's possible. But the fact it happens only when you change the water is strange. Like I said, try posting a question to this forum, they'll know :)

I need more of a description. Is it white spots? Fuzzy white strings? does it look worm like?
give your fish a bath. give him a bath in pickle juice brine.

it is called Ick got to a pet store and get the drops follow the directions and clean his container make sure you keep on treating him
Sounds like a disease called ICH. Pet stores carry a form of pennicillin to cure it, but it is on the expensive side. Best to take it to a reputable fish store so they can see it firsthand

have you tested the PH level of the water?
For the most part i think its ICK, and they have medicine to treat that.
Everytime you change the bowl the bacteria has to spike again the first step of this is amonia which is burning him so he covers his body in the slime, try only changing half of his water each time and add a little extra aqua plus as this has a stress coat in it which will cover his body in slime for him, also try buying betta plus instead as it does have a higher saline content.
maybe its ick, get anti ick medicine its cheap at wal mart.
