If your going to use a breeder box instead of just having plants around the tank then you need to wait until she is ready or else she will get stressed out and might even abort the birth(I dont know how that do it!). You can usually tell when their about to give birth by how their acting...they will usually be pacing (Swimming up and down or side to side) across the glass or trying to hide or even laying on the gravel some times...try to avoid putting her in the box to early because they really freak out and can hurt themselves! I would recommend putting lots of plants in the tank and then once you start seeing babies put them into the breeder box instead(if its the kind that sits in the tank) and if its not the kind that's in the tank then use a separate tank that's bare bottom and use water from the original tank so its the same temp and everything.
