My female fancy tail guppys are pregnant if i put alot of plastic plants would that be ok2007-11-24 23:09:45

i also have a breeder box what should i do!! please help me

Answers:

I would get them live plants that float like water sprite and anubis for the bottom

That way your fry can hide from the adults and have a chance to survive

plastic plants are fine but also make sure you also have a floating plant so they can hide and will be protected when at the top of the tank

if u want to u can separate them into another aquarium or leave them in there but put a lot of things where they can hide. if they can hide, they'll survive

How fun for you, having baby fish are fun, but alot wont make it to see over 1 month I'm afraid, the more safe places for the fry the safer, keep them separate from other fish so maybe a nursery tank might be helpful

I put mine in a breeder box. I had two pregnant fancy tail guppies, but they both blew up! Litterally! I woke up and found them dead. i guess they were pregnant with too many babies, so they didn't develop hardly at all and the mom died while they were coming out. It was so sad! Hope yours make it.

You could put the males into a seperate tank for a while. I used to have a hole s hit load of guppies, they multiply so fast!
