My female guppy looks big enough to drop soon, when should I put her in the net breeder2007-11-24 23:39:09

Although I can't provide you with pictures, ummm cause I don't want to spend the time doing a google search when you can, but now is the best time to put her in the breeder. It's better to do it a little early then too late. She probably is going to 'drop' any day now, get her in there. Its not going to hurt her at all anyways, so if she's in there a few extra days its no biggie

There is a black spot under the pregnant female guppy, and the blacker it is, the sooner it is about to drop frys. Put her in the breeder net when her stomach looks very rounded, and try to put her in no more than 2 days before she drops, or the stress she gets from been put in a confined space will make her abort her drop.

I would put her in a breeder net now. Turn the tank up a bit (80). This will make the fry grow faster and she will have them sooner. I have noticed with mine they always have them when the lights are turned off.
