My fish has no tail
YEsterday while i was giving food to my fishes i realized that one of the fishes was hurted. I took him and puted him in another place. When I realized the other fishes had eaten his tail! Will the tail regenertae the hurted figh is really barmes will he recover what can i do??

Answers:It is most likely fin rot from over feeding and poor water quality. Change half of the water with water that has been warmed to the same temp of the tank(your fish have been stressed enough). Add salt for freshwater fish at a rate of one tablespoon for every five gallons. Next week, change half the water again and add salt only for the new water that you are adding. The salt will stop the fin rot and promote the growth of new fins. I would also suggest that you buy a breeder net to protect the fish with a lack of fins.

probly probly not but read up on the type of fish.
I've had the same thing happen to my fish a few times. If you can keep the fish seperate from the other fish, then do that. Over time, the tail should grow back.

What types of fish and how many do you have in there? Could be the other fish, or could be fin rot. Do what was suggested with the water changes, be sure to use aquarium salt-not regular salt, and pick up some Melafix. It's a natural med that helps cure fin rot, and for damaged fins and such.
Keep the fish seperated and go to your local pet supply store and ask them what to do. Ususally ,you may have to buy some stress coat to help heal the fish.
