My gold fish keeps sinking
My gold fish keeps sinking2007-11-24 23:38:31
My goldfish has sunk to the bottom of the tank.It swims to the top to eat and then it sinks to the bottom and stays there till next feed time. Is there a reason for this?
Answers:There is the possiblity t could be swim bladder problems, but other things can this as well such as bactrial infections. I would say seek some expert help and delve a bit deeper into the problem. Sometimes the WQ can cause a imbalance along with the food being fed. High Nitrates can be a real pita to sensitive fish and Wheat / soy based foods can be changed over to Gel foods. But first it needs to be determined if there is a bacterial infection or something going on..
Try GAB or Koivet!
maybe it doesnt know how to swim properly ?!
It sounds like a problem with its air bladder. It will probably die soon, so be prepared to get a new fish.
It's dead and has become a zombie.
common prob with older fish.nothing to do but watch and wait
Time to put him on a diet!
Yes it is sick. So visit your nearest aquarium store for some advice.
