My goldfish has a bug thing on its top fin2007-11-24 23:38:34

On the top fin, theres this little "amoeba" type bug with legs. It looks to be eating my fish. what shuld i do?

It is called a fish lice.

You need to go to the pet store and get medicine to getrid of them. You can pull the fish out of the tank and remopve the lice with a pair of tweezers (recommended) and the ntreat the water to kill any remaining in the tank.

its a pestitside if you dont kill it soon it will kill your fish. call a vet or pet store and ask. if no answers get it of ur self u have no other choice

it definately sounds like a parisite or fish lice.i first saw one at a petstore on a tetra.i told them and they put some weird yellow powder in the tank. They said it would have killed it. I suggest going to the store and telling them(or showing a picture of it), and buying a cure. (you should google it to see if fish lice is what it is too)
