It punctured his finger down to the bone, and we're trying to figure out if he needs to see a doctor. He drained it, scrubbed it with soap and water, and put rubbing alcohol on it.
Will this be enough?
I don't know what to put this under, so fish it is.
Answers:He should go to the doctor. Animals, fish, and reptiles can have lots of nasty types of bacteria in their mouths, and a staph infection can land him in the hospital. My mom was in the hospital for a week after surgury because of infection from a dog bite.
You need to get antibiotics when ever there is a puncture to the bone no matter the reason. It will most likely become infected. Go to the doctor immediately.
