My piranha has developed som white patches on it and it is moving fast than normal
I think its fungus on its body. What should I do ?
Answers:Taking it to a vet would stress it out even more, and a vet would probably not know what to do with it. It is most likely a fungus, so treat the tank with something like PimaFix or Maracyn and it will stop. It is usually not fatal.
TAKE IT TO A VET, IF IT GETS WORSE IT WILL DIE!!
could have worms (true) or ick broad spectrum antifungal or take to your fish shop
Take a look at a few websites to help diagnose the problem.
I suggest http://www.fishlore.com/disease.htm. and http://www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/hdiseas. to start.
If you can diagnose the problem, it becomes that much easier to save the fish - but it's almost always a good idea to do a water change. Even if it doesn't remove the cause of the illness, cleaner water will help the fish fight the disease, fungus, or whatever ails it.
They sell water treatments specifically for external parasites and fungus, so if you can get to a decent pet store (probably not somewhere like Wal-Mart), they should be able to help you find what you need.
Piranha? Really? Kewl!
goodbye fishy!
Take it to the vet. If they don't know i think it is mutant. No offense
