1.) Tiger barbs and zebra danios and cories

2.) A betta and cory cats

3.) Tiger barbs and platies

4.) Tiger barbs and mollies

5.) Sunburst platies and cories

6.) You make a suggestion, please!

Now, this is a small tank, so no cichlids, angelfish, etc.

#5 sounds like a good combo, however, if it is a small tank and you're looking for a colorful and bright combo 6.) Platies and Guppies

just remember an inch per gallon, platies grow to about 2 inches and guppies remain 1.5 inches, these are compatible fish as i have them in a 20 gal. and they get along nicely.

Another combo that works well depending on the size of your tank:

zebra danios

platies

guppies

glo-lite tetra

neon tetra

bloodfin tetra

they're active and they are colorful, however you'll need at least a 20 gal tank if you keep two of each. For example, in my 29 gal I have 2 zebra danios, 5 platies, 2 guppies, 2 glo-lite tetras, 2 neon tetras, and 2 bloodfin tetras.

dont do #3 or 4 as barbs should not be with platies or mollies

well if you put a tiger barb in the tank with a molly . you soon will have some eaten on mollys/platies. you don't normally mix those.

I like # 5 because they are bright and colorful. But I also like #2 just because I like bettas.

I like harlequin rasboras (rasbora heteromorpha) They get about an inch long or a bit bigger, and in a darker gravelled tank with plants, seem to glow. They are peaceful, and not expensive, and usually available in stores.
