Onw of the clown fish having problem: HELP2007-11-24 23:39:45

Greetings

My first salt water (reef) tank which is around two months old. I added Two clown fish and an angel three weeks ago after a test on Damzel pair for couple of weeks.

Problem: Since morning one of the clown fish is not moving much unless I kind of push it with something. Similar behaviour with one of the Damzels. Second Damzel, second clown and angel fish seems just fine.

All tests OK, PH7.9, No amonia, NO2/3, sp gravity aka salt level is just perfect as suggested.

I am at loss.

I must admit that dropping that many fish in there so quickly after establishing your tank could be a problem. Watch out for that angel too as they are notorious for for being well let's say temperamental.

One thing to always reference when speaking about your tank are the basic parameters of your setup: tank size, live rick, or deep sand bed, water levels, lighting set up and cycles, whether or not you are using a skimmer, any and all other things in there with your fish.

I do agree with the other poster saying to go to forums online and I tend to use http://www.ReefCentral.com. Don't get discouraged as you are still getting used to your first tank and it's quite an adventure.

The only thing I could suggest ( assumming that the fish has been in the tank awhile and was moving around before) is that he either misses the ornament that he's used to hiding behind ( I heard that clownfish become quiet lethargic if you take away an oject they become attached to) or the temp in your aquarium is low and he is in hibernation mode. Note: I am not a vet but I love animals and I have raised fish and love to learn about them. I hope the little guy feels better.
