the light bulbs in my 10 gal tank turns my water really how to fix this.because it becomes really HOT!! my fish almost got boiled in there until i dropped ice cubes in there. is there any bulbs that dont emmit that much heat.
Answers:turn off the lights, the fish don't need it that much
what kind of light bulbs are you using, make sure
that you get the ones especially for aquariums
do you have a heater as well? turn the lights off during the day.
dam you sure your useing tank lights for fish and not for a lizards
An overhead light specifically designed for use with aquariums is recommended. Also a fan or air conditioner can be directed at the tank to help keep water temperature down.
you need to get a top with the light that comes with the top. it sound like that you have the wrong watts for your tank.wal-mart might have a top that will fit your tank they are not much
