When they accidently got together (one jumped because the lid was kept off) the fins of one of them got damaged. Is there anything I can do?? Will they grow back?? Thanks for help !!

Well.the one that jumped out of the tank lost the battle. I am curious as to how they got together.?

Anyway.get some stress coat. Stress Coat has aloe in it, which helps the fins and scales of the fish. Keep them in separate bowls on separate sides of the room for a while. They need to rest.

I have heard of bettas jumping out of a tank before. I have owned in excess of 15 males and 22 females and never saw that for myself.

Betas are very hardy fish and come back from bad things quickly. Just PLEASE put them completely away from each other for a while.

Good Luck and Take Care.

P.S. If you have one of those tanks with a divider and you have no other tank you can put one of the betas in, then use something that is safe for fish, to black out their view of each other. Like maybe something that is plastic and solid black. They need to be out of each others line of sight to ease their stress levels in order to heal properly.

you need to keep mesh covers on their bowls so they don't jump out!

never ever let them be together!

as far as i know though, they are pretty resiliant fish, so as long as he's not too hurt he should be fine.

Thers nothing you can do, it should be fine just make sure your tank stays clean.
I had a Beta that I had in a tank and he would always get stuck in the filter. His fins got shredded, so I took him out and put him in a bowl of his own and within a few weeks his fins grew back. I also added some aqua conditioner to the water that would help his skin.
doubt the fin will grow back, sorry. its about to be a.Fishfight!!
The fins will repair themselves, but if the damage is moderate to severe, the fin will not look like before. It will probably be more jagged.
Well there is nothing you can do.I have never seen the jump out to beatup another fish.I have two one that is 3 years old the other about 1 1/2 yrs, i put their bowls together so they can flare at each other, never thought they could jump out..
The fins will slowly repair themselves.
