Please help I have two beta fishkeeping them seperatethey got together accidently2007-11-24 23:40:07

I reccommend adding a little stress coat and perhaps a betta natural med (sold at pet stores - just for Bettas) to his water just to help him out a little with all the stress of being beat up.

Betta's jump out a lot, even through small holes you would think they could not jump through. Working at a pet store for 2 years, I found many poor dead ones who jumped from their cups with just a smal slit in the lid.

OK. the injured fish, make sure he is in a different bowl - away from the other one, really clean water. Got to the local pet store and buy something called 'BettaFix Remedy. Folllow the instructions on the bottle but usually pt a few drops in the water. It will protect him from infection and help his fins grow back better. They'll probably never be the same - depends how badly they were damaged but that stuff will certainly help.

Betta owner for several years, soon to be breeder.
