How can I keep my aquirum cleaner with out having to clean as much? And also where can I find a underground filter for a ten gallon aquirum?
Answers:An algea eater (catfish) will help. You can also find a product called "Nitraban" which helps reduce frequent water changes.
But there's no subsitute for regular cleaning - for a 10 gallon tank, you only need to change 2 gallons a week. That's not too time consuming and your fish will be much happier. (Keep in mind, they don't have a seperate bathroom) ick.
Just about any pet store should have the filter
filter you would find in a pet store like petco or pet pals! do put in 2 filters to keep water clear
Have you tried getting those "sucker fish"? They're like a catfish, also known as "Bottom Feeders". They do a nice cleaning job 24/7.
To keep my 10 gallon clean, I use tetra easybalance. I found it at my local Petsmart. Make sure to change the filter at least every month. good luck
I find that the filters that hang on the side keep my aquariums cleaner. If you have the underground type you have to take everything out to clean. But you have to have the dimensions of your tank to buy an underground filter. Measure it and then try Petsmart online to order one. Good luck.
fish or anphibian? there are water treatment products that will extend the life of your water up to 6 months. tetra is a good brand. i have a water turtle and she does fine. the filter needs to be changed regularly and i use a gravel vacuum about every 4 months. an under gravel filter can be had from your local petco or petsmart. they also will have people wh can give you advice and help.
