There are so many more tips, depending on how advanced you want to get. I suggest that you visit your local pet store and ask the clerk what you need for your specific fish and tank.

you have to buy a tank with a filter system..the fish will die in the jar.

you muts feed your fish 2 times a day..not much just a little bit of flakes.

do not put your fish in direct sunlight.when you buy a tank you should also get a lighting system.you can get a good 5 gallon tank with the filter and light for about $50.

thats the cheapest I know about at walmart.

Unfortunately you have a goldfish in a bowl. If you can, get the fish a bigger tank with a filter. If you can't afford a 10 gallon or bigger, at least get a filter for the bowl or your fish will be miserable. You need to do frequent water changes because ammonia will build up very fast in his bowl. Make sure you condition the water with dechlorinator or he will die. Fish poop and there's nothing you can do about it except keep his water clean with the water changes. That's nature, everything poops. Good luck with him.

welll you should feed it a few times a day.once in the morning when you get up and once at night. thats what i do with my fish and there still living

Sounds like a Siamese fish. if you don't like the poop siphon it out with a piece of air line tubing then fill the jar back up with room temp spring water. Also do not put the fish in direct light from a window, instead put it somewhere on a table or desk where there is artificial lighting.
