Here is a detailed explanation on how much salt to put in and exactly how to raise the salt content to the desired salinity for green spotted puffers. http://www.wetwebmedia.com/brackishsubwe.
Use a tablespoon of salt per 5 gallons of water. Bloodworms will not kill it.
There are three common types of green spotted puffer fish for sale in the market. They all look the same, no telling the difference without consulting an expert, and they might need to disect the fish to find out. Don't try asking the fish store, either, there's no way they'd know. They buy their fish from a wholesaler who buys their fish from the cheapest place they can find. All 3 different kinds require different amounts of salt in the water, and they all have varying degrees of aggresiveness. To be safe, try about a half to a full teaspoon of salt per gallon. Just so you know, any scale-less fish (like algae eaters) wont be able to deal with that much salt and will die.
Blood worms are an acceptable part of their diet, but you need to feed them snails occasionally, too. This is so that it wears their teeth down. Otherwise their teeth grow too big for their mouths and they starve because they can't fit any food past their teeth. If you check your local fish store I'm sure they'll have an abundance of little black snails in their tank that they'd be happy to give to you.
Good luck with these guys! They can be really fun.
