Red Nano Sea Filter - question about assembly2007-11-24 23:39:56

Hi - I have this filter for my 2.5 Mini Bow aquarium and it came with 2 extension pieces and one little circular plastic piece that has a little square that sticks out on top if it - does anyone have this and know what that little circular piece is for.

no it does not say it in the directions..

Does the circular pieve have blades? does it look like a fan of any sort?

stick the two extension pieces together. there should be a U shaped pipe. connect the extention pieces to that.

I don't have a Red Nano Sea Filter, So I am coming up with this along from my experience in messed up whisper and top fin and great hagen aquaclear filters.

Is the Motor attached to it? The motor should be black and has a wire coming out of it. If the impeller is already inside it, looking in to the motor you sould see some blades.

EDIT!:

Looked at some pictures of the thing. There is a circle thing with two lines, like as if a flat screw driver would fit there. If that describes it, make sure it goes into the U shaped pipe, as this is the flow control valve. If it is not it, post some info please.
