By the way, GARF sucks. If you want the stuff get your LFS to sell you some crumbs out of their live rock vats (they may just give it to you) and build a refugium for it. GARF is not worth the money.

I'd recommend you start at your local library because the answers to your questions would take all night to write out! Seriously, setting up a reef tank is an expensive and time consuming task and defiantly not one for beginners. My best advice is to start with a fresh water tank and work your way up the experience ladder, to do otherwise is just an invitation to frustration and heartache.not to mention a much lighter wallet!

hey, well that is so grate u want to start a tank when i started my i was a mess now i love them..

reff tanks should de a lil deeper and wide not so much as long but it depends on what kinda fish u want in there.. well i know i been saying this alot today but go get a care sheet at petco on how to set up a slatwater tank .and get a few sheet of what fish u think u will like to have then u can have a better idea on how u want to set your tank up. b/c some fish need sand some need the hard rock bottom and then what kinda backteria u need and everything.. so that would be the best be fish see what fish u want them go from there..

but once u get iot going u will love it <3~
