Something wrong with my pet shark2007-11-24 23:40:04

Alrighty..I have a shark and its in my fish tank with a few different types of fish. And all the other fish dont have anything like it on them..the shark appears to have open wounds on him. In its fin and all over him. They look like little bubbles. Some of them are bloody and yeah. Doesnt look to healthy. My mom on the other hand has moved it into a betta container and she is montiroing it and giving him some kind of medication that helps open sores. But it doesnt seem to be working. Does anyone know of any advice what to do with this shark? It seems perfectly fine. It swims quite happily and eats fine..just these growths or whatever it is doesnt look healthy. But as I said the other fish are all fine and it does not appear that they have these wounds on them!

Open wounds are almost always from other fish picking on it. This fish may not be a good fit in your community tank. Almost all species with the word shark in the common name will not mix well with other types of fish.

I hope you don't mean a shark like the great white shark unless you work at a place that works with marine animals. Take the shark to a vet and maybe they can help!
