Don't get any fish that are slow and have big fins like angels. Puffers like to bite.

i have 2 green spotted puffers. they are known for being fin nippers. but i must say, they dont bother any of the other fish that i have in the tank. in the tank i have 2 iradesant sharks, 2 red-tailed sharks, 2 rainbow sharks, an upside down catfish, a pleco, a gold fish, an angelfish, and an african butterfly fish. from my experience( the past 5 or so months with the puffers) they are semi passive. they dont bother any of the other fish in the tank. but u have to add some aquarium salt to the tank. and they like to feed on small feeder fish. i go through about 4 a day. its not bad tho cuz u can get feeders for about a dollar a dozen. so if u ask me they should be just fine with any type of fish in the tank. also to be safe but some clams or snails in the tank. the puffers chew on the shells to keep theyre teeth from over growing.
