Theres something wrong with my betta

He's sticking to one corner of his fish tank, blowing bubbles. I was told this has something to do with their mating instincts, but I don't want to get him a girlie to "play" with. Yet, he doesn't seem to be eating. I seen him eat one, out of the four pellets I gave him, and there is quite a bit of them which have sunk to the bottom. Is there anything I should be doing, to help him with his frustrated libido? He's also not moving much, just in circles, in the corner he has chosen to be in.

Believe it or not, Bettas prefer their water, environment to be about 82 degrees, however this is rarely a thing us Betta keepers do or even think about, as most of us keep them in little tiny bowls to live out their little lives. After all why not, it鈥檚 how they are keep at the fish stores鈥?br />Get his bowl to a warmer spot. Clean out his bowl as the food sitting at the bottom, is torturing his fins and if not keep in cleaner water, he will develope fin rot.

As far as eating鈥?well once warned up a bit, his appetite may return if not increase. Try offering him some brine, a few frozen blood worms, or even chicken, yes chicken鈥?They are carnivores and NEED their meat.

Don鈥檛鈥?worry about him making the bubbles; all Males even human go through when they don鈥檛 get any. LOL.

Main thing, make sure he is not cold and make sure you keep his bowl clean.

Cleaning his bowl properly is easy as well. Make sure you put him with some of his bowl water into a cup, set him aside. Pour out the rest of the water. Clean the slimy build up on the rocks and walls, refill with water, let it heat up to room temp, pour one drop (ONLY, not a squirt) of stress coat in and replace MR MAN. If he is healthy, everything will be just fine.
