The fish that I have in my fish tank is dying. It can't swim anymore so it's just laying at the bottom of the tank still breathing but just laying there. It can't get any food because the food stays at the top of the tank. I get so sad when I go by the tank & look in there & see it & even when I think about it. The fish is probably sad that me & my family aren't doing anything for it but we can't we don't know what to do & their's no fish doctors. I'm also sad for the other fish in the tank because it's probably really sad because the fish is dying & because it will be the only 1 in there so it will be lonely. What Should I Do?

What if my dad takes the fish out of the tank & throws it outside when it's still breathing? When a fish dies my dad just throws it outside without barrying it. :*( :*( :*(

There's nothing you can do. If it makes you feel better, I bought all new fish when I moved into my new apartment and, a week later when I went out of town and left my roomies to feed them, I came home and they were ALL dead! I was sad but I got over it. Fish don't have a consciousness anyway really.

Well unfortunately there doesn't seem to be anything that you can do. The fish probably doens't have the intelligence and self-awareness that you have, so it's not suffering like you think. But the best thing for you to do is talk to your dad about the fish and when it is this fish's time, you should bury, have a little ceremony or do whatever you feel should be done to honor its memory.

sometmes if you have a sick fish put it in a bowl of fresh water on its own and leave it sometimes they perk up again.

u can just sit there with the fish and actually get some food that goes to the bottom and try to make it feel better it might seem stupid but it works

Your fish will eventually die of starvation. The best thing you can do for it is to humanely euthanize it.
