Violent Molly Need advice before he kills again2007-11-24 23:40:27

I have a silver Molly in a 5 galleon tank. He originally shared the tank with 1 black molly, 1 snail and 1 ghost shrimp. Now all I have left is the silver molly and Pepe the Shrimp. Please help me he has killed the other fish and the snail and I don't know if I should separate him before he kills my favorite, Pepe the Shrimp.

i always tell people this and they never believe me.mollys can be semi-aggressive.they can get very territorial, especially with eachother and can be very nasty. i would say remove him now or you wont have good old pepe for much longer

Remove him from the tank.

Unlike other pets, he can't be trained.

Sorry about the others, but maybe Pepe can be saved.

By the time you read this, sadly, Pepe may be dead. get Pepe away from the molly. most likely the tank felt crowded to the molly and he may have harassed the other fish to death if it was a female. get the molly two females, maybe more, and he should calm down a bit.

for now just get Pepe out.
