We bought 1 guppy and 2 mollies about 3 weeks ago and we just bought 5 neons on Sun and everyone has

Was hoping that someone had a idea of what kind of fish to buy next. Also what kind of fish can we buy to get rid of the fuzzy gross stuff that looks like food gone bad on the rocks. Is there a cool looking bottom feeder that will take care of it. Thanks in advance

I鈥檓 so sorry you lost your fish; it鈥檚 so not fair this even has to happen; basically you lost your fishes to perhaps new tank syndrome. Like the person said earlier, did you treat the water well? It really needs to cycle out well before you add others to your tanks and it should always be started with a nice good starter fish such as your Mollies.

When you are starting a new tank, I know it鈥檚 so exciting to buy all these fish, no one wants a bare tank, but you have to be patient. Add only two fish at a time until cycling is completed and only once a week, ti will help cut down your lost, plus sorrow of loosing them.

If you want you tank to cycle faster and safer for the little guys, try fishless cycling, or CYCLE bacteria. It鈥檚 a must. Use Stress Coat to help declorinate, or Starter from jungle, depending on the size of your tank, a little goes a long way. Also try some Aquarium Salt, it help them get through this time a bit better as well. Turn of the lighting and don鈥檛 feed as often, next time you buy your new batch. There are other thing that can done as well, so many tricks to this hobby, what you will have to do is fine a comfortable treatment and just go for it. Trail and error until you learn. It won鈥檛 take you long. Don鈥檛 get discouraged. Keep trying, but next time, go in that store armed with a little bit of knowledge, so they can鈥檛 try to pull one over on you.
