Weird white stuff in my Bettas tank
I have had my betta for a few months now and I have noticed this stringy looking white floatie stuff in my betta's tank. I usually see it around my betta's plastic plants. So anyways, I cleaned his tank very well yesterday and paid special attention to cleaning the plants but upon inspction this morning I have noticed that there seems to be more white floaties than usual, his water almost looks a little cloudy because of it. Any ideas about what this stuff might be? I am worried maybe the new seashells I put in his tank yesterday might be causing it. I cleaned the shells pretty well, and it doesnt look like any of the floaties are on the shell.pretty much just all over the plant leaves and floating in the water.im stumped!
Answers:maybe its your fish food or your fish is going to the bathroom a lot lol
your betta's a male or female?
female---> might be the eggs?
male----> might be something else.
haha.
It maybe the food you have giving the fish. I know my Betta tank was cloudy and I figured out that it was the food. When I was feeding the fish he was not eating all the food and it was sitting there makeing the water cloundy. Try a different food and see if that helps.
Note that a betta will happily over eat. With live food they've been know to even eat themselves to death. The "floaties" sound like either feces, or some sort of algae/fungal growth.
